I have found what I thought to be a very unusual surname in my tree........the name GHENT. I have an Isaac GHENT who married a Jane Ashmore but I have no dates for these people. They had a daughter named Elizabeth GHENT born 29 May 1777. Elizabeth married a John Rollinson. I believe they may have come from the Kirkby-in-Ashfield area of Nottingham. Does anyone have these people on their lines? I have no other info on the surname GHENT. Any help would be appreciated.
