John Giangola, born August 29, 1929, passed away on June 13, 2003. A veteran of the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, John served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1974. After retirement, he worked at the Veterans Administration from 1976 to 1991. John was preceded in death by his mother, Angelina Giangola and a son, John. He is survived by his children, Angela Adoberavoski, Tony Giangola, Michael Giangola, Robert Giangola, Tina Giangola, Debra Ramsey, Lori Scholl, Steven Giangola, and Kimberly Giangola. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Family and friends will remember him for his honesty and sense of humor. The Rednecks and Old Farts Debating Society will miss him, and the Six Aces will regret not winning their money back. A visitation for John will be Tuesday, June 17, 2003 starting at 5:00 PM with a Rosary following at 7:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services are Wednesday, June 18, 2003, 10:00 AM at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7999 Wyoming NE, with Fr. Chris O'Brien, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Troy Giangola, Aaron Adoberavoski, Michael Giangola, Robert Giangola, Steven, Giangola, Tim Scholl, Mark Kwasman and Bob Abrams.
