Hi Tom,
My Father is John half brother to your father. I was just at Ellis island I see this is a very old post , put I give the info anyway Our grandfather cam to the US on Nov 3 1905 with his father Cuno, sister Angela, and brother Ned. They came from the town of Messina Sicily and came to the US on the steam ship Lombardia I can't find the information on our great grandmother Philippa. She is noted in the 1930 census as the mother of Aunt Angelina. She did not make the trip to America with the family. I'll do some more research on this . I find it very strange that a mother would let her children go to another country without her. The kids were still young. 9, 11 ,13. Something is going on here that I would like to know. Maybe their birth mother died and Pillippa is an adopted mother. Not sure interesting though

My great grandmother's name was Grazia Gianni. I think her dob was around 1860. She married Giovanni Busardo. They had quite a few children-Francesco Paolo Busardo, rosaria, maria anna, guiseppe, vincenzo to name a few. Calcedonio Busardo (dob 1872) emigrated to brooklyn, kings county, ny in the early 1900's and a few Gianni's stayed with him at 543 henry street in brooklyn Heights.

My great grandmother's name was Grazia Gianni (dob around 1860?). She married Giovanni Busardo. I think they are from Palermo, sicily. They had quite a few children. I also know some Gianni's visited their Cousin Calcedonio busardo who had emigrated to US around 1900. They stayed with him at 543 Henry street, Brooklyn, Kings county, NY.. I assumed they were his cousins.

My great grandmother's name was Grazia Gianni (dob around 1860) who married giovanni busardo. I think she was from Palermo, sicily. They had quite a few children...some names i have found are Maria Anna, Francesco Paolo, Calcedonio (born in 1872), Vincenzo (born in 1883) & Guiseppe (born in 1892). A few Giannis visited Calcedonio who lived at 543 Henry street in Brooklyn, Kings county, NY in the early 1900's. I'm assuming cousins?

I am looking for my Great Grandparents who had a son named Vincenzo, Joseph and Gaetano. Gaetano Gianni, my grandfather came over with his two nephew who may have been orphans. Any information about their Grandparents would be helpful

I don't think we are related, my Grandfather came from Palermo Sicily around the turn of the 1900's
I do Know he weas in the first world war as an american solder
and came to America as an orphian with his sister

Hi. I found a John Carega born April 12, 1888, who died Feb 17, 1966 in Kern. I think he might have been married to my distant cousin Susan Emily Bunting. Does this ring any bells?

Looking for information on Rosaria GENTILE probably from Carlentini, Siracusa, Sicily, ITaly. Born about the 1820's or 1830's. She married Giuseppe VASILE. They had 2 children that I know of: Nunziata (b. 1/16/1851 in Carlentini) and Giuseppa (b. 3/14/1854 in Carlentini). This is to correct the previous posting, considering it has absolutely nothing to do with Gianni! It should have read:
Looking for information on Agata Gianni born about 1830. She married Giuseppe Fanciullo born abt 1830. They had these 2 daughters:
Sebastiana b. 8/1/1850 who married Antonino Campisi on 10/31/1975.
and Lucia b. 6/10/1860 who married Vincenzo Palermo on 1/13/1884. Both daughters were born in Carlentini, Siracusa, Sicily, Italy. If you have any information on these families, Please email me at mlzendejas@hotmail.com

I think his Father's name was Thomas but i'm not sure of that
i think he came from the provence of Palmermo,Sicily

My grandmother was born in Lombardia or Milano Italy around 1893. She had two sisters Rosa and Catherina that came to the United States. I think there were more siblings that stayed in Italy. She married Mario Carega when she came to the United States. They had three sons Peter, Angelo and John. Please contact me with any information.
