Mags, did you ever find your information on Lola Gibboney (she is my great-grandmother) and the connection to the Kempers?
My cousin John Kavanaugh has gathered a lot of the Gibboney family and you can find that on the web at http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/k/a/v/John-Kavana... , but I was unable to find the complete Kemper line in his data. The closest Gibboney - Kemper I have connected is that Lucy Albina Kelly’s grandmother was Sophia Kemper, daughter of John Kemper IV, born 1784 in Fauquier County, Va. You can trace the lineage of John Kemper’s back directly to John Kemper who emigrated from Musen Germany sometime between 1717 and 1720. If you have found good data since your original message in 2003, please let me know.
