I am trying to track down any collateral descendents of a Thomas Gibbonsor Gibbon of Carlisle..c 1780..he had a son Joseph who had several children and then lived in Blackburn Eng. There names were Robert ( my gret grandfather, Richard, charles, Ernest, Dorothy and Margaret..one went to Canada and I think some of the family visited my grandfather leonard Gibbons in Birmingham during the War.. the family is pretty ancient and connects with a number of Gibbons all over the palce
