Mildred G. Pillath
Mildred G. Pillath, 94, of Pound died Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Rennes Health Center-West, Peshtigo.

The daughter of the late August and Ida (Winkler) Giese was born on July 3, 1914 in Pound. She was married to Fred Pillath on Dec. 2, 1932 in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1978.

The couple lived in Milwaukee before moving to Pound in 1941, where they operated a farm until 1968. She was employed at Country Gardens, Coleman and Frigo Cheese Corp. in Crivitz and also sold live bait. She was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church of Crivitz and the Women's Missionary and was also a member of the Goldhorn Homemakers.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. John (Bonnie) Enix, Alton “Joe” (Lonnie) Pillath and Richard (Karen) Pillath, all of Pound; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Irene Giese of Pound and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Fred, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Hannah, Edna and Helen; three brothers, Johnny, Albert and Frank; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman from 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2 until the time of services at 4 p.m. Rev. Daniel Wolff officiated and burial was in First Baptist Cemetery, Pound. Pallbearers were grandsons, Kenneth “Joe” Seiro, Darrell Enix, Steve Podoski, Kevin Pillath, Jay Merline, Allen Graetz, Brian Vaught and Daniel Pillath.




This August Giese family came from Manitowoc County to Marinette County and Mildred was my Grandma-Sharie
