Kendrick GILLISPIE, age 83, passed away on May 12, 2008, at Doctors West. He was born in Greenup, KY. Kendrick worked as a Corrections Officer with the Department of Rehabilitation & Corrections. His nickname was "Mumbles". He loved to cook and work in his garden. Preceded in death by parents Christopher and Virgie and son Rodney. Survived by wife of 48 years, Helen; daughters, Gayle (Gale) Virgin, Lisa (Robert) Ward; son, Jeff Gillispie; grandchildren, Todd (Tiffany) Virgin, Jeffrey (Janelle) Chad, Tamara (William) Walker, Brittany (Jared) Temple and Ryan Slaughter; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Payton, Sophia, Jadelynn, Jenaveive; and 10 others; brother, Eugene (Eunice) GILLISPIE. He enjoyed his grandchild "Twinkie" and his pet "Chief". He will be missed by all. Funeral Service to be held at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL on May 16, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. Friends may call from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. on May 15, 2008.
