Callaway County, Missouri Journal Old Mt. Tabor Family Cemetery

Finley, Gilloy Ann, Daughter of Joseph W. Finley, B. Mar. 23, 1811, D. Jan. 25, 1815.
Several graves here marked with native stone.

Curious about the early death year, as Callaway Co. did not exist, I posted a query

reply;

An uneducated guess would be the original hand written copy looked like a "1" but was actually a "7" .

I don't know the earliest recorded tombstone in Callaway Co., but 1815 is too early for the county.

The location of the cemetery would be southeast of Fulton, near Dixie- and the Second Mt Tabor Church Cemetery

Follow highway 54 south from Fulton to the 2nd left hand road turnoff, follow that road to a left hand turn, Mt Tabor is shown

B&B said " The first Mt Tabor Church was in the corner of pasture near the Johnston home not far from Dixie".
