Looking for info on Curtis Gilson, the 1860 census for Reading, VT list Elvin (?) age 56, Laura age 52, Martin age 14 and Curtis age 29. Curtis is also listed on the 1870 and 1880 census for Reading with his wife Rachel and children. I have not been able to link him to my Gilsons in the same area nor can I find an Elvin. I have a "memorial card" showing Curtis died March 21, 1892 at the age of 61 years, 10 months, which leads me to believe he was somehow related.
