COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa - Ralph G. Gingerich, 65, of rural Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at Washington County Hospital in Washington.
Services will be at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. Burial will be at the Kalona Cemetery.
Mr. Gingerich was born Aug. 5, 1935, near Riverside, the son of Advin and Hattie Ledman Gingerich. He married Evelyn Swailes on Dec. 12, 1964, in Lone Tree.
He worked as a mechanic and farmed in the Columbus Junction area.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; five sons, Virgil Gingerich and his wife, Jill, of West Branch, Darrell and his wife, Linda, of Wilton, Duane and his wife, Yvette, of rural Columbus Junction, Steve of Brighton, and Bob of Washington; a daughter, Vickie Gingerich of Maryland; two brothers, Orval Gingerich and his wife, Pauline and Glen Gingerich, all of Wellman; a sister, Linda Zilmer and her husband, Lowell, of Marion; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Terry and Jeffrey; two brothers, Leroy and Lawrence; a sister, Mary Fritz; and a granddaughter.
