I am researching the Gleeson family of Brooklyn, New York.

1st Generation settled in Brooklyn NY were:
Joseph Gleeson d. 1899 (wife Annie Delaney d. 1918) settled in Brooklyn before 1859. Both Joseph and Annie were from Ireland.
Joseph's parents were Timothy and Sarah (thought to be from Tipperary).
Annie Delaney's parents were William Delaney and Anna Bergen.
Joseph and Annie Gleeson had 9 children; 4 survived to adulthood they were Sarah, John (my ggf), Mary, and Katie. Other children were Joseph (3), Timothy, and William.
Most of family is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn.

2nd Generation still in Brooklyn were:
My ggf John (b. 1862; d. 1932) married Ida Elizabeth Walkley in 1890.
Ida's parents were William and Ida Elizabeth Griffin Walkley from England. At the time of her marriage to John Gleeson Ida was a widow, she had 5 children from her first husband Edward Ford, they were Edward; Mary (m. Samuel Gray); William (m. Minnie Kuhn); Catherine; Frances (m. Peter Rubino) - all kept the name Ford.
Ida and John Gleeson had five more children, my gf John Raymond (m. Henrietta Hotter); Anna (died at age 20); Francis (m. Madeline Smith); and two infants Ida.
Most of this family is buried in GreenWoodd Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY

Third and fourth generations moved from Brooklyn to the Bronx, upstate NY, and Long Island.
