Gleitz Family in New York

I am looking for information on Hattie Gleitz and her family. Hattie was born on 21-July-1865 in Manhattan, New York. Her parents were August Gleitz and Marie Elizabeth Maiwald. She married George Jacob Dagner. Hattie died on 10-Apr-1944. Her father, August Gleitz, was born on 13-July-1832 in Erfurt, Turingia, Germany (His father was another August Gleitz). August worked in the family piano factory in Germany and then in the United States. He died on 19-Apr-1917. I would appreciate any information on this family and adjoinging families (Maiwald, Dagner, etc). Thanks!

Is this the same Jacob (Glatz) found in Rev.War Pa.,from Lancaster Co.,Pa.? Also found a Frederick (Glaze),Lancaster Co.Pa.,served under Capt.Martin Bowman. Believe these were brothers,as there are many variant spellings for this surname. I believe Frederick (Glaize) might be the son of Johannes (Kloss),wife Catherina (Guth),son Frederick, all removed Palatine Germany,to Pa.,1752,ship "Duke of Wirtenburg". Frederick (Glaize) was said to be born Germany, son George (Glaize) m.Hetzel, found in Frederick Co.,Va.. This (Glaize) family of Va.has been a mystery for Glaize descendants. Can you help?

I have been trying to find information that backs up what I have found in the websites. It's been slow, but very interesting.

I think I remember your name from a list of researchers that Ed Anderson compiled a few years ago. Have you tied Georg and Jorg of Imbsheim, Alsace to Jacob Gleitz's family? I've seen information, in the LDS research about the family from Alsace but have not been able to tie them to Jacob, who was born, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania (according to my records) in 1757.

I have Jacob Gleitz born to Johannes and Catherine Wurmann Gleiss in Montgomery County, Maryland, March 27, 1757. He married Magdalena Haber May 7, 1788 in Lancaster County, Pa. They lived in Lancaster County, Pa., Washington County, Md, Cumberland County, Md., Bedford County, Pa., and Somerset County, Pa., until Magdalena's death in 1831 and Jacob's death in 1833. Their children were Catherine, Jacob, Mary Magdalena, Andreas, Phillip, Godfrey Frederich and an unknown female. Jacob was a farmer and a weaver. Any help appreciated.

We’re planning two fun-filled days including a catered Pennsylvania Dutch luncheon and the dedication of a memorial stone in the Heidelberg Union Church cemetery to honor the immigrants.
