CAMPBELL, Ohio – Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the Wasko Funeral Home for Stephen M. Globeck Sr., 87, who passed away Thursday morning, July 7, 2011 after a short illness.
Steve was born July 8, 1923, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the son of John and Mary Malazi Globeck.
He was an Industrial Carpenter at Youngstown Sheet and Tube, where he worked for 37 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Provider Church and served his country in the U.S. Army.
Steve enjoyed fishing, gardening and landscaping. He was an animal lover and student of history and politics. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and son.
His wife, the former Ann Kuna, the love of his live, whom he married in 1949, passed away in 2001.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Stephen Jr. (Kathy) of Campbell, OH; a daughter, Barbara of Stamford, Conn.; two grandchildren, Stephen John (Kelly) Globeck of Columbus and Juli Ann (Eric) Faust of Stow, Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Stephen and Ella; and two sisters, Stephana Thomas and Jennie Yanchick.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ann.
The Globeck family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
