YOUNGSTOWN – Emil Globeck, 85, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 12, 1924, in Campbell, Ohio a son of the late John Globeck and Mary (Malzia) Globeck.
He was the husband of the late Gloria Palmieri, whom he married July 15, 1950, she passed away April 19, 1994.
Family includes daughter Bobbie (Lee) Stubler of Youngstown, Ohio; sons Ralph (Brenda) Globeck of Liberty, Ohio and Ron (Karen) Globeck of Louisville; sisters Stephie Thomas of Austintown, OH and Jenny Yanchick of New Middletown; brother Steve Globeck of Campbell, Ohio; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Emil was a 1st class Navy Seaman, was formerly employed for 44 years at Youngstown Sheet & Tube, where he was roll turner and foreman.
He loved his family and enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Calling hours will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fabrizio Funeral Home, 619 East Indianola Ave. in Youngstown, Ohio.
A funeral service will be Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
