Classification: Query
Surnames: Glover, Kingdom, Bowler, Dallaway, Geraghty, Whitehouse
My ggg grandparents were John and Ann Glover, who had a number of children, some of whom I've been able to trace in the UK census and others I haven't.

John Glover (b. c1822 in Essington Wood, Staffordshire; d. prior to 1871 when the family is found in Willenhall) married Ann ??? (b. c1822 in Pleck, Walsall, Stafford; d possibly in Tamworth in 1889)

1. Selina Glover (b 1839 in Willenhall, died 1921 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA) married William Henry Kingdom (b. 1840 in Walsall, d 1889 in Walsall) in 1859 and had about 12 children (I'm happy to share info)

2. William Glover (b c1846 in Darlaston) married Sarah ??? (b c1847 in Darlaston; died 1880 in near Tamworth) Children included John, Dinah, Richard James & Samuel, all born about Wolverhampton in the 1870s. In 1891 he married Jane Bowler, widow of Thomas Bowler, with children William Henry, John, Albert & Lily, who were born in Fazely

3. Richard Glover (b c1849 in Darlaston, died 1891 near Tamworth) married Hannah Dallaway in 1872 (b c1853 in Wolverhampton) Children included Thomas (c c1875 in Wolverhampton), Joseph, Alice, Alfred, Ada, John, Rebecca, Emily and Richard James, all born in Tamworth or Castle Liberty

4. James (b c1850 in Walsall) - no additional info after Willenhall in 1871

5. Sarah A (b c1857 in Walsall) - no additional info after Willenhall in 1871

6. Eleanor (b c1859 in Walsall) - no additional info after Willenhall in 1871

7. Eliza (b c1861 in Walsall) - no additional info after Willenhall in 1871

According to my mother, my ggf William Henry Kingdom, a brown saddler from Walsall and son of William Henry & Selina Glover Kingdom, originally wanted to emigrate to Australia where he supposedly had relatives, but my ggm, Margaret Geraghty Kingdom, was against it. She felt that if they were to emigrate, it should be to the US. They went to Scranton, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, where one of his sisters (Alice Kingdom Whitehouse) already lived, and eventually most of the Geraghty and Kingdom families joined them. Its possible that some of his Glover cousins may have gone to Austalia. I would be very appreciative if anyone has additional information about these families. Thank you,

Alaine
