I am trying to establish what relationship may have existed between the family of David GLOVER, born Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland C 1818, died Cass Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, and Robert Alexander Muir GLOVER born Dundonald, Ayrshire, Scotland 12 October 1830, died Shenandoah, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
David Glover’s parents were William GLOVER and Catherine OWENS, while Robert’s parents were David GLOVER and Barbara FULLARTON.
Kilmarnock and Dundonald is less than a day’s walk apart. Cass Town and Shenandoah are also about a day’s walk apart.
The US census in 1860 shows a son to David born 1854, John Robert GLOVER, and he appears with this family again in the 1870 census.
In the 1880 census John Robert GLOVER is listed as a boarder with the family of Robert GLOVER.
There are a number of names common to both David and Robert’s children, David, Catharine and Robert.
