This may be of interest to those with Arthur Price Glover in their line. He was a mill worker in Augusta in the 1890s, and a Populist (a fan of Thomas Edward Watson). Glover was accused of shooting a Democratic deputy sheriff in an election day fracas. He defended Tom Watson when a Democratic mob threatened the man's life. In 1906 he killed a female mill worker (Dean) and plead not guilt by reason of insanity. There are good references for all of this in the following locations: http://www2.lib.unc.edu/dc/watson/index.html/nameResults/d1e... (letters from Glover to Tom Watson)
"Tom Watson and the Arthur Glover Case in Georgia Politics," Georgia Historical Quarterly 53 (September 1969( by Alfred Hicks.
