I need PROOF of who WILLIAM GOBLE I's father is. William was born 1796 in Kentucky. William's grandsons in various history books said the family came from one of the Carolinas, and before that had escaped the French Huguenot massachre in mid 1500s, through England, to America and that the ancestor's name was JOHN GOBLE, a minister. BUT pedigree charts I run into say the father was BENJAMIN GOBLE, descendant of THOMAS GOBLE (who maybe was brother of John)who came from England. I have listed some of the brothers and sisters of William I to help. They were all born in Perry County, Indiana between 1824 and 1842. I think I have several brothers and sisters of William I also.
