CLAUDE GOCHENOUR JR.
Claude Arthur GOCHENOUR Jr., 81, died June 27, 2007 at his home in Apple Valley. He resided in Apple Valley for 20 years. He was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Thurmond, Md.
Claude was a cement contractor for 30 years. He was a World War II Army veteran and holder of two Bronze Stars for service in Europe. He was a great jokester, who made everyone he came in contact with laugh. He was a great cook and handyman.
Claude is survived by his wife of 20 years, Ruth GOCHENOUR of Apple Valley; daughter, Diane of Las Vegas, Nev.; son, Tom of Las Vegas, Nev.; son, Kenny of Mexico; son, Dean of Fullerton; daughter, Sue of Apple Valley; daughter, Jan of Santa Rosa; son, Steve of Bridgefield, Del.; daughter, Debbi of San Jose; brother, Chester of Maryland; brother, Don of Maryland; sister, Doris Crowley of Baltimore, Md.; sister, Maryann Dick of Baltimore, Md.; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Claude was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation and services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 1, at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary.
Burial will follow chapel services at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary.
Victor Valley Mortuary is handling arrangements.
