I'm looking for information regarding the marriage and divorce of Charles T. Gochenour to Mary Akerman in Cuyahoga County, OH. I am told there was a daughter born to the union. The two were married after the 1920 census and divorced before the 1930 census.

Any help is appreciated.
Monica

I am looking for the descendants of an Elmer Gochenour born about 1873 in Nebraska per the 1910 census. This Elmer is the son of Daniel and Barbara Shively Gochenour and married to Laura for 7 years per the 1910 Marshall county Indiana census. In the census all 4 are living in the same dwelling. He and Laura did not have any children by 1910. Are there any connections?
I am looking for connections (descendants) of Daniel and Barbara Shively Gochenour who were married in Kosciusko County Indiana in 1872. Barbara was born in 1849 in PA to Levi and Elizabeth Shively. As late as 1910, Daniel and Barbara are living in Tippecanoe Twp, Marshall Co., Indiana along with their son, Elmer, (36) and his wife, Laura, (26). Later Barbara married a second time to a Purcell and possibly moved to Miami county. Barbara is a sister to my own great-great grandfather and I have pictures that she is in. I do not know when or where Barbara or Daniel died, or what happened to Elmer. Anyone else have connections to this line of Gochenours?

Karin

Larry,

I thank you for taking the time to post a reply and establish a place for John Shively (Shiveley). I never knew what happened to him, either. My grandmother knew Barbara Gochenour and she shows up in family pictures when she was visiting in the early 1900's. I know by a later will of another sibling that Barbara married a second time.

I can connect John and his siblings to Levi and Elizabeth Smith Shively who came to Indiana from Union Co. PA after 1844. Let me know if you need more verification. The line to Levi is established in the Shively family book by Black. Levi is mentioned in his father's will as having moved to Kosciusko Co. Indiana. Levi and Elizabeth are buried in Kosciusko Co.

Karin

This is not from any research I did however.

I am interested in whether John had children or a spouse.

Can you help me on this?
