I have found out more information. My great grandfather Ross is the son of Ernest J. Gockel and Clarissa Burton. Ernest J. Gockel is the son of Henry Gockel and Rosina Bear (Bahr). Henry and Rosina are from Germany and settled in the Grahamsville, Sullivan County, NY area. They had approx 10 children. All I am aware of is Ernest Joseph and Margaret Catharine Gockel.
