I know my parents were from Transylvania and came to America around 1909. They were John Gockel and Suzanna Hallman and married in Ohio. I am trying to find out the names of my grandparents and the place of their births. Any info. would be helpful and appreciated.

Hi, I am researching my mother's father's family. My grandfather was Ross Gockel. His father was Ernest Gockel. Please respond with any other information you may have. They are from the Sullivan County, New York area originally, (Lewbeach, Roscoe areas) Ross had 2 sisters, Alice and Leona and I think a brother Ernest. Ross's mother was Clarissa Burton. Her mother was ---Kline-Burton-Tripp-Bussey who died at the age of 100 in 1910.

I have found out more information. My great grandfather Ross is the son of Ernest J. Gockel and Clarissa Burton. Ernest J. Gockel is the son of Henry Gockel and Rosina Bear (Bahr). Henry and Rosina are from Germany and settled in the Grahamsville, Sullivan County, NY area. They had approx 10 children. All I am aware of is Ernest Joseph and Margaret Catharine Gockel. I am looking for information about Wilhelminia Gockel b. 1892 in Germany and D. 1947 in the USA. She immigrated to the USA with her sister, Marie Gockel Loercher and her sister's husband, Martin Loercher. I know Marie and Martin Loercher settled in Illinios. Wilhelminia married James Watson.

I would like to know when Wilhelminia and James were married, where they lived/died, when he was born, when he died.
