GOCZA

A book by Dr. Imre Gocza was published in 1981, written in Hungarian about the history of Berzence in Somongy megye (county), Hungary. The tile is Berzence Tortenelme, Copyright 1981 by Dr. Nadas Gyula, 1425 Grace Ave., Cleveland Ohio 44107. I am only aware of this as my father had ordered the book for himself when he saw it available in a Hungarian newspaper.
My father is Jozsef Gocza (b 1929) in Ortilos, Somogy megye. His Grandfather was Gocza Mihaly who married Varga Maria. They had 3 children ( Istvan, Janos and Maria). Istvan and Janos served in WW I, and Istvan was declared missing and presumed dead. Janos returned to Hungary and then married Istvan's widow, Navracsics Anna who already had 3 children from her first husband: Istvan (Jr), Karoly and Margit. Janos and Anna had 2 more children together, Janos (b 1921 d. -?) and Jozsef (b 1929).
Janos married Gocza Kati and produced two sons: Laszlo and Sandor. Jozsef came to Canada in 1951, and married Piroska Roma. There are no Gocza's to carry on the name from this end of the tree...and if anyone has information from Ortilos regarding the Gocza family, please feel free to email.
thnx
