MUSCATINE, Iowa - Lloyd W. Goddard, 91, of Muscatine, died Thursday, March 2, 2000, at the Lutheran Homes in Muscatine. Services will be at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Swanson of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Organist will be Betty Lincoln. Pallbearers will be Gary Erickson, Jason Goddard, Christine Goddard, Martin Goddard, Matthew Goddard, Melissa Goddard. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Goddard was born on Nov. 11, 1908, at the Bloomington Township, the son of Martin N. and Elizabeth Sauer Goddard. He married Zelma C. Holzhauer on Sept. 25, 1934, in Muscatine. He was a life member of the First Baptist Church in Muscatine, a member of the Farm Bureau and the American Angus Association. He loved fishing and hunting. He farmed all his single life. When Lloyd married, he moved to town and became a carpenter for Altenbernd Contractors. Survivors include three sons, Floyd W. Goddard of Wilton, Dean T. Goddard of Muscatine and Dale M. Goddard of Longmont, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, seven sisters, and three brothers.
