i have a class project to do on my family history. i want to know more about the godfrey name. i know most godfrey came from england and few from ireland. dont know how they got here to the u.s. more likely from ship but what ship and date? i know my grandfather bobby godfrey was born in south carolina and moved to north carolina and this is were i live now. but i would like to know a little more about were the godfrey name came from and why?
