I am looking for information about the Godlewski family line from the Chicago south side. I can trace back to a Martin (Marcin) Godlewski who married a Rozalia Szewczyk in 1907. Prior to this he was married to a Sophie Pisnar who died along with 3 or 4 children. He had a brother Joseph who was married to Kathrine.

I have a lot of experience looking throught the census records and can be of some help if you are having problems. Certain things I've found: The Martin Godlewski was listed as Martin Godlevesky in the 1900 census and Martin Godleski in the 1910.

In the 1920 census, the census taker started number the steet addresses wrong for Honore St. in chicago. Took me forever to find them in that year. Was looking for a 4312 but the census person listed it as 4412.
