I am related to the Godwins in Escambia Co. I've managed to search my tree and find a direct line, which is as follows:

William M. Godwin (married Periby), Child:William M. GodwinII (born 1-20-1813, died 5-5-1897).

William Godwin II {married Elizabeth MCabe (b 1-20-1813, d 9-15-1876)} Child: Thomas Godwin (b 5-22-1842, d 6-28-1920).

Thomas Godwin {married Sarah E. Hammack (b 1-26-1847, d 3-27-1921)} Child: Marion Godwin

Maron Godwin {married Johnnie Annie (b 2-14-1883, d 5-3-1919) Child: Louie Lester Godwin (Sr.)

Louie Lester Godwin (Sr.) {married Leila R. Rigby, b june 1908)} Child: Louie Lester Godwin Jr.

Louie Lester Godwin Jr. {married Martha McKinney, who is dead but I don't know the date} Child: Richard Alan Godwin

I am Priscilla. I recognize my tree from Marion down. I believe I actually have pictures of him, but I'd have to dig around for them. In my synopsis above, I did not list syblings, as it would take too much time and space. I do have a brother, however, who will carry on the family name of Godwin, and he also has a son, but probably will not carry the family name on. He is autistic, so our line of "Godwin" will probably end there. I myself have two boys, but they, of course, will carry on my husbands name of Fenoff.
