managed to find out a bit more about her husband, Andreas Matthias Hauswirth. He was shot by a burglar! He then later died of a high fever, possibly caused by an infection in the wound. He's buried in the old St. Mary's cemetery in Port Washington, WI with his mother and 2 other relatives. The inscriptions on the gravestone are hard to read as it's very faded. His death date was Oct. 2, 1894. He was only 34 yrs old when died. The shooting happened in Chicago but he was brought back to Port Washington for the burial as he was from this area until sometime after his marriage.
