Looking for descendants of Wilhelm Wolfgang Goehring (mid 1600's) of Albisheim, Germany. At least three brothers left Germany in 1803, landed Baltimore, and settled North of Pittsburgh, Pa mostly in Cranberry Township, Butler County. Later spread into other parts of Butler County, and into Beaver County and Allegheny County. Reason to believe that small portion of family lived in West Newton area of Westmoreland County also. Early families allied with Goehrings include, but not limited to, Buhl, Passavant, Graham, Dambach, Ziegler, Zeigler, Meeder, Householder (Haushaulter), Rape (Reeb), Moyer, Boyer, Rice, Stamm, Brenner, Bonzo (Bonzon), Wooster (Wurster), Endres, Hartzell, Fombell, Powell, Ketterer, Phillips, Fiedler, Medinger, Cable, Fox, Lutz, Cookson, Fezell, Randolph, Speyerer, Seaman, Rauscher, Pflugh, Knauf(f), Hartman, Wehung, Young, Brua, Otto, Boehm (Bame) (Beam), Shanor, Wild, Mickley, etc. Many, many other families involved. Will pass along what I have. Eager to contact cousins.
Best regards,
Jeff Thomas
