Dear Hilary,

This John William Goodman was my 3rd great grandfather. You mentioned an article in 1931. Would you be able to share this with me. I have very little information about John and Emily. I think John's father was a William Goodman.

Any information you have would be much appreciated.

All the best
Dave

Looking for decendents of John and Lottie Goodman, who lived in Jackson co., Arkansas in 1920's

Lottie Goodman maiden name was BUNTON she was a sister to my grandmother Veler Bunton Dillinger. they were born in and around Tuckerman, Arkansas area. Lottie and Veler's parents were Sam and Charlotte (Emma) Bunton, There is a set of twins born between Lottie and Veler named Ida and Alta (1904?) Also and older sibling One of the census has the child listed as a female with the name of Nicholas. I have also see it listed as a Mable, not sure what her name is but she/he would have been eldest living child at the time. One child is listed as being deceased by 1920's?
One of the census's stated Emma borne 6 and 5 survived.

Any help with this family would be greatly appreicated and also any contact with the families would be appreicated

thanks,
I have three William Goodmans in my tree. They are father and two sons, from the Tower Hamlets area. None seem to be a perfect match - your William seems too young to be the father, too young to be the sons, and both sons died as babies, but thought I would pass on the info just in case.

William Goodman
Married Mary Ann Eleanor Ziegler in Dec 1883 in Bethnal Green (1c, 405)

William Albert Goodman
Birth: 1890-10-01
Death: 1890-11-12

William Andrew Goodman
Birth: 1886-01-19
Death: 1886-10-10

Hi:
I am trying to find information on my Goodman family.
The further back I have gone was my Great Great Grandfather, Charles Goodman.
The 1881 Canada Census for Darlington Township, County of Durham, Ontario shows Charles as having been born in England. It lists his wife, Mary and their children: James, Mary, Lottie, Ann, Herbert, Alfred (should be Albert), Louisa & Fanny.
The children, Herbet & Albert were twins and Albert is my Great Grandfather.
I would love to hear from you if you have any information on my Goodman family.
Thank you
Kim

This is my line of family also and David Goodman married to Agnes Manning Harris in Henry Co. VA.
David is the last of the for sure persons that I have but I did find a deed that listed David Goodman as 'David Goodman son of David Goodman Decd. and Agnes his wife, ' and maybe his father 'David Goodman son of John Goodman Decd. and Marium his wife of the County of Henry and Pittsylvania and State of Virginia' but I am not sure if this is David's father or not. and another deed that says: 'David Goodman son of John Goodman, Marium his wife, formerly Marium Harris and David Goodman son of D. Goodman & Agnes his wife, formerly Agnes Harris of the county of Henry and Pittsylvania and state of Virginia '

I also have a little bit about Agnes Manning Harris' family but not much.

if you can help me with this line I would love that. I have all the goodman info from David forward in my line thru his son George Washinton Goodman (b 1834 d 1919). but I am a stonewall going any farther back.

Israel Goodman b. 1822 in PA and siblings

I am interested in finding info on the parents and siblings of ISRAEL Goodman who was born in 1822 in PA. This Israel was born to Jacob Goodman, born in Wurtenberg, in 1773 and Rosanna Troutman born in Berks county, PA.

I have 3 Israel Goodman's in my database who's parents
and siblings are mostly unknown to me. All three Israels were born around the same time (1821 & 1822 & 1823) in PA. I can be fairly sure that Israel (born 1822) had a sister named Mary C., who married John Borrall, a sister named Julia Ann, who married a Leonard Jackson, a brother, Levi, who married Sarah Wolfe, and a brother, John Franklin Goodman who married Mary Cunningham.

The Israel Goodman born in 1821 in PA may have been born to Jacob Goodman b. 10 Oct 1777 in Oley, Berks, PA who was married to Catherine Levan b. 7 Mar 1777. It has been listed that this couple had 15 children :

Barbara and Elizabeth (no birth dates)
John (1801)
Magdelene (1804)
Peter (1805)
Susanna (1808)
George Michael (1810)
Margarethe (1811)
Esther (1813)
Amos (1816)
Reuben (1820)
Israel (1821)
Aaron (1823)
Lewis (1824)
Maria (no birthdate)

Can anyone direct me to any document that will verify the parentage (including the mothers) of any of these Israel Goodmans?

I have a Will belonging to Amos Goodman which leaves his estate to his wife Catherine leaving the remaining funds to "all his brothers and sisters" in equal shares. The distribution of the assets lists the following people as
brothers and sisters alive at that time (1846) who got equal shares:
John Goodman
Peter Goodman
Michael Goodman
Reuben Goodman
Aron Goodman
Israel Goodman
Lewis Goodman
Elisabeth ( wife of Daniel Miller)
Mary (wife of Jacob Newhart)
Margaret (wife of John Hill)
Hester (wife of Michael Shultz)

These families look very similar. Any documents that might verify any of this?
Valéry Goodman-Plater ostop41@hotmail.com

I have a Sarah Wolfe Goodman (b. 1824 in OH; unknown death date; she was
still on the 1880 census for Greenfield, Adair county, IA) in my database.
BUT, Jacob Goodman is her father-in-law. Sarah, according to my info was
married to Levi Goodman (born 1850 in PA; died 1880 in Greenfield, Adair
county, IA). Levi was the son of Jacob Goodman (b.1773 in Wurtenberg,
Germany; died 1852 in Delaware, Delaware, OH). I do have the names of their
children and other info if you are interested. I would like to share info
about this family. Feel free to email me at ostop@charter.net. Thanks in
advance, Valery Goodman-Plater
I just found a gal in Texas yesterday, she has a David and has her act together. I will respond back when I figure her line out. My mind is a bit filled at this point....and not sure if I could find my way downstairs....for the the information that has been going back and forth. I do have the Pittsylvania part......Robert and Susan were married there. So I am sure it is all connected, but just need to sort it out. I will holler back at you when I get it. Susan and Robert had 10 kids......so............I need to get all lines entered.

I would love to trade information. I descend from Margreta's brother, Francis Adam Goodman, who held elected office in the Michigan State Legislature 1881-1883 (photo attached). His grandfather, Wilhelm H Gutmann Sr, was in Napoleon's Army during his 1812 invasion of Russia. He perished in that invasion. Contact me a pastor.tice@gmail.com for my 180+ page file of Wilhelm's descendants.

I don't have a Robert in my listing but I was wondering if this Robert R. Goodman could be part of my line as I have a David Goodman (b. 1805 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia) m. Agnes Manning Harris (b. 1803 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia) on Oct 13 1825 in Henry Co., Virgina. I have that they had 5 children with 1)Elizabeth 2)Mary Polly 3)George Washington 4)David E. 5) Martha. I have that this whole family moved to Osage Missouri sometime before 1840 and then moved to Hill Co., Texas before 1859.
I am decended from George Washington Goodman and Mariah Sutton and can't find anything back for sure before David Goodman and Agnes Manning Harris but they come from the same area as your Goodmans and you say you have them all figured out. Can you help me?

Sorry to hear of his passing at what, to me, seems like a young age. Contact me if you'd like to get a photocopy of his yearbook photo. - Rick O.

Hi Liz
I saw your message about Stephen Goodman and a previous reply to your query(which I can't seem to locate at moment).
Hannah Goodman is my husband's 2x greatgrandmother, and she is the mother-in-law to Jane Charville who was on Stepen's
death certificate.
I hope this helps you with one of your queries.

Carol
