Stanislaw & Jan Gora, Erie Pa / Sheffield PA

I am looking for the family of Stanley and John Gora. Stanley lived in Erie PA in 1940. His brother,John lived in Sheffield PA in 1930, married to Anna.

I believe they immigrated in 1912 from the area near Lublin in Poland. I believe their father was Jozef Gora. Both were going to Hamilton, Ontario upon arrival to live with their cousin Jozef Dzuby (Lzuby). They had 16 siblings who remained in Poland, but lost contact in WWI.

Gora Family - Stanley / Phillip Gora

My grandfather was Stanislaus Gora, born in 1898 and immigrated to the US in late 30's from Poland with his brother Philip. Stanley married Agnes Giewont - 4 children Paul, Loretta, Sophie and Josephine. My father is Paul Gora of Erie, PA.
Philip married Anna and had 2? children. They lived in Sheffield, PA. There were 15 other siblings in this family.
Does anyone have information on any of the siblings and their families?

Wondering if anyone has any information on the parents of a Pauline Gora. pauline married Anthony J Viduski ( may be listed as Widowski). I have them living in Milwaukee in 1911.

Looking for some helplocating information on my great grandmother--- Pauline Gora born in 1888 in Milwaukee.
I believe her parents came to the US from Canada.

She married and Anthony J Viduski (could also be spelled Widowski.

Hello my name is Carolyn Gorra my Great granfather was Sylvester Gora(Gorra) He came to Canada in 1882 from Prussia he was spelt Gora on the ship list and had also sailed with a Max Gora , Maryanne Gora and Doninik Gora. I am having a hard time finding his family as he was a lone when he came to Canada it stated on the ship list that he came from Ilowa do you have anything as too the same for your Gora family?

My grand father John Ratza married a Mary Respecki, I believe that Mary Respecki's maiden name was Gora. And her mother was Mary Hildebrant. So Mary Ratza Respecki Gora is the daughter of John Gora and Mary Hildebrant.

My father arrived in Canada in Montreal 1948, moving to Kingston, Ontario. He arrived from Germany after living in a work camp for several years. His name was also Edward Gora born May 1, 1923. His brothers are/were Franek, Henry, and Josef. His brothers remained in Poland.
Anyone familiar to us?

I am actually not a Gora, but I am trying to find one. His name is James Gora and he lived in Brookfield, IL as a kid and moved around a bit. His mother's name is Karen gora and I think she may live in Il still. He would be some where between 23 and 25 by now. If you can help in any way please let me know.

I have Gorra (Gora) in my line which came from Ilowa Prussia too the U.S. then too Canada and couple went back too U.S. Chicago .
on my g-grandfathers ship list his name was spelt Gora ,
Sylvester Gora (Sylvester meaning NewYears in German) born Dec. 31, 1860 his port was Bremer&Bremerhavin too Baltimore in 1881 his parents were Margaret Laureck and Thomas Gora would your Anthony be connected too this man? I believe they had connections too Chicago because two of his daughters moved there from Canada.
I have been unable to locate Sylvesters' parents whereabouts or any of his siblings his wife was MAry Pasco (pascoff)their children names were Mary, John, Thomas, Hanna (anna), Agnes, Joseph, Robert, Catherine.

Also on the ship list there were three other Gora's Marriane 23 yrs, Max 9 months, and Dominik 33.

Hello I was looking at the Gora posting and was interested in Anthony Gora if you know where he originated? and if you were able to find any of his family?
I too am researching the Gora Gorra name .

My great great grandfather 's name was sylvester Gora he was Born Dec 31 , 1860 in Prussia ,his parents were Thomas Gorra and Margaret Laureck. I just found him on the Hamburg ship list and they had him age 23 in 1881 which was an error but anyway he sailed first to Baltimore then on to Canada where he settled and married a woman Mary Pasko who we believe also immigrated from Prussia before him and had his children two of his Girls immigrated back to the U.S one to Chicago and the other to Michigan.

His childrens names were Mary, John, Micheal Thomas, Hannah, Agnes, Joseph Robert, Katie.

The Gora name has been misspelt many times in Canada now I am Gorra but, but on shiplist he was called Gora.

When Silvester Gora immigrated he also had a Dominick Gora age 30 with him and a Marriane Gora 23 and also a baby Max Gora 9 months. if this connects with you plzzz contact me vias email.I am wondering if Anthony could have been brother? cousin?
