      <description>OBITUARY: The Morning Press, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, April 27, 1982&lt;br&gt;     Ella Bankes, 84, Zion Grove R.D.1, died Monday at 12:30 p.m. at the Bloomsburg Hospital, where she was a patient for one month.&lt;br&gt;     A retired housewife, she was born in Zion Grove, Dec. 4, 1897, the daughter of the late John and Sarah Faust Gottshall. She spent two years in Zion Grove, prior to that residing at Bloomsburg R.D. 3; Mrs. Bankes was a member of St. Peter's (Hargers) Reformed Church, Bloomsburg R.D.3; and a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Beaver Township Fire Company.&lt;br&gt;     Mrs. Bankes was preceded in death by her husband Henry, in 1976; and a son Thomas, died in 1959.&lt;br&gt;     Surviving are children: Mrs. Richard (Mabel) Schlauch, Mrs. Ralph (Carrie) Singley, both of Zion Grove; Paul and Edgar, both to Stowe, Pa.; Leonard, Bloomsburg R.D.3; William, Nuremberg; Mrs. Walter (Ella) Wolfe, Bloomsburg R.D.3 and Theodore, Catawissa; 51 grandchildren; 110 great-grandchildren; and 37 great-great-grandchildren.&lt;br&gt;     Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Mark S. Harman Funeral Home, Conyngham-Rock Glen Road, with the Rev. William Knott officiaitng. Burial will be in the Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.&lt;br&gt;</description>
