My wife, here in the United States, is Patricia Brown, a granddaughter of David and Helen GOUDIE or GOUDY (maiden name). They lived in Whitehall, Maybole, southwest of Glasgow.
There are Goudies living in Maybole. Two ladies, surnamed GOUDIE, and living in Maybole, are not sure of their ancestry but apparently have some relationship to one or more people with the surname Kennedy.
Any genealogical information on these two names from the Maybole area will be helpful. We do have a record of a baptism of an infant Richard on October 23, 1833, the child of a David Kennedy and a Helen GOUDIE.
There were about five Kennedy clans in the area, usually feuding with, an annihilating, each other. There are several castles, originally belonging to the several Kennedy clans, in the Maybole area.
