My ggrandmother was Martha A. was married to James Brown in the 1880 census they are listed as living in Hardin County, Illinois and she has a son James Gowens listed age 15. Martha was born in Tenn. and James was born in Illinois according to the census. Does anyone know of any connection here. I would like to know something about Martha. Betty
