Greetings. Just got on the computer to get some stuff organized for my summer project, the ancestry record of my Mom, Mary Juanite Huff. Her father was Rupert Huff. His dad was the Martin that you are asking for. I have quite a bit of info on the family.......but all of it is in the attic and it's been 100 degrees here in the Texas Hill Country. How are you related to the Huffs? Or are you just doing research on the family?

SARAH EMILY GRABEL 10/03/1839 - 07/1919

Looking for information on Sarah Emily Grabel, my great, great, great grandmother. She married Joel Murphy on 09/14/1856. They had 3 children Mary Elizabeth Murphy, 07/24/1857; Solomon Luther Murphy, 05/16/1859; and Jefferson Murphy 03/14/1861. I believe she died in 07/1919 in Doniphan County, Kansas. Where was she born? Who are her parents? Does she have any siblings? I found a note in a book that said she was Mrs. Joseph Murphy, but all of the family states that his name is Joel. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have that she was born 10/03/1839 in Indian and died 07/1919 in Doniphan County, Kansas. She list on one of the Census that both her parents were born in Kentucy. I am beginning to suspect that her parents are Solomon and Mary Grable, but can not prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt. Anything you can provide would be helpful.
Thanks,
Christine

Hello. I have exstensive information on the Grabel Surname, going back to Germany in late 1600's. (Hundreds of Names) Do you have an approx age of Sarah? Often people used "American" names once they came into this country.

stockman79@istal.com

Phillip
Samuel Gillin Jr. B:1893 in Bruce, Wisconsin?
Died: 1987 in Willmar, Minnesota. In 1899,
the family moved to Chatfield, MN. Later they
moved to Kentucky. 6 Gillin's made the
journey, the parents-Phillip Samuel Gillin,
his wife?, 2 sons-(one being Phil Jr.)
and 2 daughters-(one died of Meningitis and
was buried on the prairie.)In Fagus, Missouri
around 1910, Phil Jr. married Pearl Grabel-
her parents were Jessie Grabel and Sarah Ann-
-don't know maiden name.
