My husband's GGranddad was Joseph Calvin Garben Jr. He owned and operated a farm that later became known as Ithica Gin. Yesterday the school board in Carroll County, Georgia voted and a school will be built in honor of our family. The school name will be 'Ithica Elementary School at Graben-Garrett Farm' and will open next fall. I have a Aunt that fought hard to get the name. I think it is a great thing for the Garbens.
