I am looking for information on Preston E Grabill who died last year (7-19-08) in Towson MD.

Wife name is Amy Grabill, per obituary.

Trying to determine if his father was my Preston E Grabill DOB 1870) from Johnsville, MD. And if they are father/son -did Preston E (dob 1870) ever talk about his father??? Who?

I have a photo in a family album, possibly civil war era, marked "Sergt Grabill" showing a young man in a military uniform. The photographer's name is Evans & Prince of York, PA. This photo was in an album with photos of the Courter/Courtier and Graves family members.

I am looking for any information on Preston E Grabill.
DOB a1870, not sure when he died.

His mother was Susan E Grabill of Johnsville Frederick MD. He had a sister Lillie M Grabill.

Preston then moved to Baltimore.

Anyone with information on him please reply. When did he die? Who was his father??

Seeking info on Pearl V. Grabill [daughter of David F. Grabill and Laura A. May] who 1st married John Roadcap [NFR] in abt. 1902 in Va. Interested in the parents of John Roadcap. Pearl V. was b. 26 Jan 1886 in Rockingham Co., Va. and d. 21 Dec 1973.

Pearl V. Grabill and John Roadcap had 2 known children: Ottie Esther Roadcap [b. 1903] and Sallie Virginia Roadcap [b. abt. 1906]. Pearl and John divorced and these 2 children were later raised as Cox children.

Pearl Grabill Roadcap then married Charles [aka Collie] Cox [son of unknown Cox and Ella Dean]. Pearl Grabill and Charles/Collie Cox married in Staunton, Augusta Co., Va. on 5 July 1911. The couple resided in Rockingham Co., Va. in 1920 and 1930. Charles was b. in Cumberland Co., Va. as per his marriage record.

Pearl Grabill and Charles/Collie Cox had 5 known children: Mildred L. Cox [b. abt. 1912], Eldridge B. Cox [b. abt. 1913], Lucille F. Cox [b. abt. 1916], Nelson Franklin Cox [b. 29 April 1917], and Rufus Oscar Cox [b. 1918].

I have just recently started searching my family roots, and new to ancestry.com, so not even sure on procedures here. But...

I am also from the Susan Ellen Grabill line in Frederick Md - Johnsville area. She was my great, great, great grandmother. I am interested in finding more on Susan Ellen. Was she married - to whom, how many kids, their names.. Was her husband white or african american? Any information is appreciated. One of her children was Lillian May Grabill Foreman...

Looking for any information on Rachel GRABILL that married Jacob S. FELLER. I know that Jacob FELLER was born 18
JAN 1843 in Shenandoah Co., VA. I know that there were GRABILL families in Shenandoah Co., VA at that time. I also know that Rachel Jacob FELLER lived in Harrison Co., INDIANA and are buried there. Jacob FELLER's parents are Joseph FELLER Nancy HAMMAN.

Family lore has that 2 brothers came to Missouri but got into a disaggreement and 1 went back to IL. As told it was my Great grandfather Fred and his brother Samual. But I know that they were both born in MO and so was their father Jacob Andrew Grabill. I also know that Jacob's family stayed in MO except for 1 brother, David, who went to Ione, OR. So I wander if the two brothers might be my GGG Grandfather John Thomas Grabill b.1817 of VA and an Unknown brother. We have lots of information from John Thomas down but absolutely nothing befor his marriage in 1840 in Lee Co., VA. All I have to go on are the names of his sons-for what his brother's names may have been. They are Henry H., John W., Jacob Andrew, and David H.

John Thomas came to MO in 1844. Does anyone know of any one who had a brother John b. 1817???

I'm looking for information on his parents/siblings. He was born 1817-we believe in Lee Co. or possibly in Harlan Co., KY and moved to Lee Co., VA at a very young age. He married Sarah "Sally" Shelton Woodward in 1840. They moved to MO in 1844 and settled in Harrison Co., MO in 1849, where they stayed.
They had 5 children: Henry H.( who died as a infancy and I believe is burried in Lee Co.), John W.(born in VA), Jacob Andrew(born in Clay Co., MO-my gg grandfather), David H.(born in MO lived in Ione, OR in 1917), Melinda Elizabeth Rhoda(born & died in MO-Married Floyd Blankenship-who was born in Lee Co., VA.
If you have any information to connect John to a family, I would greatly appreciate it. He may have a different spelling of Grabill than his Father.

I think I have some Grabills in PA of the USA. I don't know much about the past because my the McDermott members won't seem to tell me when they say they would. I have to ask them all the time.

I have several folks in my Grabill line with the name of Cecil and Grabill, but no Roberts. I bet they are somehow interrelated however. Do you have any idea what part of the country your Cecil Grabills were located in? That might help me pin down their ancestor.

Eugene, are you from the Abraham Grabill family? He had two wives, HANNAH MYERS and REBECCA SARAHAN WOLF, and 17 children. I am from the line out of his daughter Susan Ellen Grabill, but am very interested in all the Grabill families who might be related to Abraham.

I have a list here that shows a Violet Grabill born Nov 9, 1910 and passed on Jan 20, 2000. Some records show her father as Jacob Martin. Did Violet marry a Glen Colebaugh ? I might be able to help a little bit with some of my sources.

My great-great grandfather was Levi Grabill who lived in Greenfield Township, Blair County, Pa. in the mid 1800's . He was born app. 1816 and married a Margaret Young from Philadelphia, Pa. Margaret was born in app. 1822. I have not been able to find any source as to exactly who his father was or where he came from geographically. Does anyone have more info? Thanks.

You have given me quite a bit of information and I appreciate it. Carrie A. was my grandmother who passed away Feb. 1994. She had 2 daugters who have both also passed away. What do you know about Peter's decendent, E. Luther Grabill? Not much info to be found. I have a marriage certificate & Census info, but that's about it. Know he's buried in Marshall, OH. Was he just a quiet farmer or is there more? Thanks for all your help.

I hope you are still looking. My greatgrandmother is JCH's niece. I have quite a bit of info on David and Catherine...Catherine was shot and I have the newspaper art. It's funny we have info on a lot of the family but do not know when jch died. There are a lot of sites about his' work and we do have a picture or two of him and his' family but that is it. Also cannot connect this Grabill's past Ohio. David was born in VA in 1815 and died in IL. Cannot get the rest connected back.

Thanks for responding. Peter is my husband's gr gr grandfather. His gr grandfather was E. Luther Grabill. His gfather was Milton C. Grabill. His father was Dana C. Grabill.
If my research is right, Barbara Grabill Mosier & E. Luther were brother/sister. I guess we are long-distant cousins by marriage!! LOL Please continue to post or e-mail me at jtsgrabill@hotmail.com. Would love to compare notes!
