Hi there, My grandfather was George Graboskis (Grabauskas) and his wife was Agusta (Gussie) Dresher. This is all that I know of my father's parents. They lived in the Mahoney City area and I see an address in Tower City in the 1920 census. I think my gfather had 2 brothers (maybe John and Joseph).

Thanks for the info...it was worth a shot. My Grabauskas's or Graboskis's were located around Mahoney City and Tower City. Just found out my grandmother's maiden name was Dresher and that's going to be quite a hunt too!!

My grandmother was born in 1904. She had 3 brothers and 4 sisters--John, Browne, Joseph, Helen, Mary, Celia, and Catherine.

read your post. Wanted to let you know that my father is George Graboskis and had a sister Anna. He was born in 1914 and she was born about 1918. Any of this sound familiar?

Looking for anyone who may be related to me. My father George (Grey) Graboskis born in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania (I believe) Son of George and Agusta Grabauskas of Prussia and Germany. Please note the difference in the spelling of the last name per the 1920 federal census. His brothers were Edward and Victor, sisters Anna, Bertha, and Helen.

William, this looks like a copy of a post I originally put up a couple of years ago. I am the grandaughter of Kathryn (Graboski) Loureiro. My mother was Rosemarie (Loureiro) Confroy. I believe you are the son or grandson of my mother's Aunt Stella and Uncle Frank Zackowski. Do you have any information to add to the original post? It would be wonderful to get through the brick wall.

I am trying to piece together my tree as well. I do know that I am related to Graboski's who lived in Sheffield PA. I have no idea how though. Do you have any relatives that live there? I also have family (Prattle and Wego) who were in the Scranton area in 1883 to at least 1950. Do any of these last names ring a bell with you? Any help will be greatly appreciated. All info taken from photograph estate papers of Charles Irving LaGrange of Syracuse, NY

EDITH LA GRANGE married (?John) GRABOSKI.

There is an Edith Graboski listed in SSDI with DOB of 27 Mar 1912 DOD 26 Nov 1991. Also a John is listed for same town in SSDI. His DOB 12 Dec 1906 and DOD is May 1968. Not sure if this is correct family.

Children of EDITH LA GRANGE and ?John GRABOSKI are:

i. LINDA GRABOSKI, b. 10 September 1945
(Source: Photograph, dated 10 April 1955 stating that Linda will be 10 on Sept. 23.).

ii. JEANNIE GRABOSKI. She possibly married GEORGE SUTKUS.

Child of JEANNIE GRABOSKI and possibly GEORGE SUTKUS is:
i. DONNIE SUTKUS, b. 1945-1950. Location unknown.

I'm looking for information on ancestors and descendents of my great-grandparents. I've listed below a summary of the info I've gathered to date.

ADAM GRABOSKI b.9/23/1860 married
THERESA MATUZEWSKI b.5/29/1872

Both were born in Poland, possibly in Kalisky, Galaci or Gieberyn. They emigrated to Pennsyvania (Scranton, Wilkes Barre area and had 4 children. Adam and son John moved to Wyoming (Thermopolis Springs area).

CHILDREN OF ADAM AND THERESA:
John Graboski
b.9/14/1890(in PA)d.10/15/1958 (in WY)
married: Theresa (1st wife)
Grace (2nd wife)
They had 1 daughter

William Graboski (changed name to Grabs or Grebs)b.5/31/1900 (in PA) d.2/28/1972 (in NJ)
married Lucille; they had 1 son, William

b.4/26/1909 (in PA) d. 11/16/1982 (in NJ)
married John Loureiro and had 4 children:

I am also searching MUND (MUNDT) family, mine appear to have been from near Shitomire, now in the Ukraine.
Do the names Adolph. Emelie, Emil, Wilheim, Wilheimine Julie, Karl, Ludwig, Karl, or parents Karl and Henreitta Lang, mean anything to you. Dates 1862-1882.

Is there any way that the a and the o could have been switched in your grandmothers name? I too have been looking for my ancestors and cannot seem to find any of them. BUT, I have a John Grobaski that married a Helen Dornick in Clearfield County PA. My gr. grandfather was Joseph Grobaski who was born in NYC in 1898, but I have no idea what his parents names were.

Hi, I am also researching my father's side of the family. His mother's name was Anna Graboski Krieg---my grandmother. She had several brothers and sisters. One of the sister's name was Mary.

Hi, my grandmothers name was Anna Graboski. Her mother and father were born in Poland, i'm not sure where, but came to Scranton, Pennsylvania.
My great-grandfathers name was Anthony Graboski, and he married Josephine Zurlawski, she was also from Poland. If you think this could be a match

My late father-in-law's mother was Mary Sutkus. She was married to Cyprian Marcinkiewicz. They lived in Syracuse, NY. Any connection to your Sutkus of Canastota?

I am also looking for Graboski's with very little luck. I know that my paternal grandmother was Augusta Graboski, she married Ralph Black in or around clearfield County Pennsylvania. Her parents were John and Augusta. She had an older sister Mary. John, mother Augusta and Mary sailed to US from Hamburg Germany. They landed (don't know where) in September 1902. Settled in Irvona Penna (Chest TWP, Clearfield County. Any of this sound familiar?
