It is our understanding that many of the people who lived in the small town of Grabow took that name as a surname before they left that area. My husbands great great grandfather was Fredrick Carl Grabow who had a son and daughter. Son was named Otto and daughter was named Sophia after his wife. They settled in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
