Count Carl Frederick Grabowsky was the father of Ernest Grabowsky. I believe that he did have a brother by the name of Herman.

I have recently come out of surgery so will give you all the info I have when I have recuperated.
They ascened from King Stanislaw of Poland.

The Frederick and Eleanor (Grabowsky) Meyer are my great grandparents. Their daughter Laura married an Eduard Grabowsky and they came to USA on the Lepzig in 1886. They owned a brickyard at Antigo, Langlade Co. Wisconsin. She was born about 1861. August Carl or Carl August Meyer was born 9/17/1844 or 45. On his death record, there was a Frederick listed as his father but no mother listed. I am not sure if Laura Grabowsky and August had the same mother.
He had a brother Herman who lived in Antigo and a brother Frederick who stayed in Germany.
I have been trying to find the place where they were born and was pleased to see your e-mail listing Falkendorf? and Mohringen as their birthplaces.
There were more sisters and brothers, but I have not verified them yet.
Any other information that comes my way, I am very happy to receive. If I can be of any help, please let me know.

Hi Elaine, I know this is an old message but I am researching the Meyer/Grabowsky family from Antigo. I am trying to make a connection to my Meyer family but I'm not sure if they were related. I just got a copy of Laura's parents church death records in the mail today and it lists Frederich Meyer as being born in Falkodorf or Falksdorf, OstPreussen and Henriette Eleanor's birth place as Mohringen, Ost Preussen. Laura married Edward Grabowski/y and her mother's maiden name was Grabowsky.

I am seeking information to verify that Count Carl Fredrick Grabowski (b.1798 in Danzig, Poland) is the father of Herman Grabowski (born c.1830 in Poland - town unknown). Count Carl was the grandson of King Stanislaw II of Poland and Herman Grabowski was my great grandfather.

I also seek information on what year and on what ship Herman arrived in England. In 1860 he married Ellen Andrews in Southwark, London

I am trying to find info on my Grabowsky roots.

My Grandfather (still living) is John Grabowky, married to a Sophia Zwizansy, b 1920, d 2001. They resided in Pheonixville, PA.

Hi! My Great Grandfather August Meyer had a sister Laura
who married an Euard Grabowsky somewhere in Prussia about 1886 and came to USA shortly after. They lived at Horicon, Dodge Co. Wisconsin then to Merrill, Wi. and then Antigo, Wi. He was a brick maker there. So far I have not found where the Meyers were born or the Grabowskys. Everything just says Germany or Prussia. August Meyer married a Hermina Dichroff (DeGraf, DeCrof, DeGraff etc.) She was born at Saalfeld, Thuringer. She gave her father's name as William but cannot find the mother's name of either or them

my great granmother's name was Mariannae Grabowski. She was married to Andreae Warzecha. Their daughter was Agatha Warzecha--my grandmother.

Princess Jadwiga Lubomirska b.1828 d. 1908 was the daughter of Prince Konstanty Lubomirski b. 07 Nov 1786 in St. Petersberg, Russia d. 1870 and Countess Ekaterina Nikolaevna Tolstaya b. 15 Aug 1789 d. 11 Feb 1870. Konstanty and Ekaterina were married on 18 Feb 1812 in St Petersberg. Jadwiga was the third of five children. She married Count Adam Goetzendorf-Grabowski b. 1827 d. 1899. I have no information on their offspring, if any.

Looking for photographs of our dear beloved departed ancestors, copies of birth, marriage and death certificates etc.

Colonel Arthur Grabowski

Arthur married Mary Gardner.
Colonel Arthur died in Georgia, I have the newspaper cutting and a photograph. He taught at Summerville Academy.
I have plenty of his documents and would like to complete the task he started.

Can any of the Grabowsky family furnish me with any further information. He was also once married to a lady with the maiden name Lamar.

Does anybody know when Friedrich Carl Grabowsky and Luise Mariane Von Bessel were married?
Unfortunately I do not know when they were born or when they died. They are the parents of Ernest Adolph Grabowsky.

The spellings could be Grabowski or Grabovski.
Friedrich I am sure was born in Poland.

If you are in any way related I would love to hear from you.

Adam and Jadwiga were married on 13 December 1853
Jadwiga's father was Konstanty Lubomirski and her mother Ekaterina Tolstaya. I am not sure when they were born or when they died. Perhaps you have some information?

I am the gg granddaughter of Olga Grabowsky.
She married Porter J. White. They had a daughter:Beatrice Olga White.
Olga had 2 other brothers, Max and Morris.
Max was one of the starters, or something like that, of GMC.
I don't know anything about Morris.

Adolph Ernest Grabowsky was married to Mary Kesia Garland on 23 December 1867 in Kent, South Fleet England.
Can anybody confirm when he was born, he died in June 1892 at Helensbro, Scotland - do not know date, omitted from his family bible. He was possibly born around 1840.
If anybody is related please contact me and if you know any further details please do let me know.

The family were from Grabow in Poland.

Grabowsky - Delvaux Marriage details required

Has anybody information regarding my Grandmother Louise Lilly Mary Grabowsky (born in Helensbro, Scotland on 14 May 1891 and her spouse Jules Leopold Marie Ghyslain Delvaux a Belgian musician/Professor of Music born in Leuze, Belgium.

Her father was Ernest Grabowsky and her mother Anna Louise Hoyes and his father was Emile Laibert Delvaux
and his mother Vietsrine Frimn.

According to a 'war diary' she wrote during the war in 1914, they left Namur, Belgium escaping the Germans via Holland and caught a ship to Great Britain with great difficulty.

They were married between 1916 - 1919 (perhaps at an irregular border, civil marriage) Was it Scotland, Canada Britain, Holland, Russia, Poland, Australia, America etc ? It could be anywhere as she travelled continously, knew many languages and used to be an interpreter, and was a nurse during the war.

They had a son Ivan Jules Ghuyslain born in Paddington, London on 30 October 1920.

They then went by ship to the Cape of Good Hope (Cape Town) in South Africa. My father was born in Durban on 17 April 1925.

Both Louise and Jules died in Durban South Africa and were buried in a joint grave at Stellawood Cemetary in Durban.
Louise died on 21March 1942 and Jules died on 4 May 1962.

Really hope that I will find their marriage certificate!!.

Looking for Louis Robert Grabowsky Sr who was married to Johanna C. Stelling He was born 11/17/1838 in Germany she was born 9/17/1844 in Germany.They were married in Pittsburg, PA on 5/11/1867. They had 4 children, Carl Frederick who died in 1871 John William born 12/17/1869 Louis Robert JR born 2/2/1877 and Augusta Charlotte born 9/24/1880. Looking for any info regarding the years they lived in Pa before moving back to New York City. Any help would be appreciated.
