I'm looking for information on Carl Otto Albert GRADE, born in 1868 or 1869, in "a small town near Kiev", most likely in eastern Volhynia. Carl was of German ancestry and a strict Baptist.

He married Caroline Temperance Wales around 1905, possibly in Chicago, and moved to Los Angeles, CA. It's possible he came through Canada on his way to the US, but his wherabouts in North America before 1906 are only conjecture.

Carl and Caroline had three children: Margaret C (b. 1907), Paul Sidney (b. 1909), and James E (b. 1913).

Any information would be much appreciated.
