I recently purchased a bunch of old photos. One of the photos shows ten people on the front porch of a house. The photo is labeled on the back "Becky & Ben Grafton & family, Homer Gray's sister". Unfortunately I don't know when and where this photo was taken (likely in the southern states). Maybe someone will recognize their ancestors.

Attached is a copy of the photo. If these are your ancestors, please contact me.

Grafton male born 1942-44

I am looking for a Grafton male who was born between 1942-44. He was Caucasian, of English descent. In 1970, he was involved with government defense and worked on an aircraft at an aircraft plant in Northern California. During this time, he traveled throughout California attending business meetings. I do not have a first name. What I do know is that in 1971, he had black or blonde hair (paper says BL which has been interpreted both ways), blue eyes, was approx. 5'8", approx. 160 lbs., interests included boating, swimming and football.

Please, if this sounds remotely familiar, please contact me ASAP. Thank you.

Kristin Molina
kpkkmolina@aol.com
951-704-4342

Looking for information on Frank and Mary Conoley Grafton who supposedly left Pennsylvania came down through Blue Field West Virginia, through Jellico, Tenn. and stopped briefly in Toccoa, Georgia. They supposedly had Robert Z Grafton in Jellico, Tenn. came on to Toccoa, where they left him with a Prather Family. They had another son, JOseph, and they took him and went South toward Florida. They were never heard from after that. This is all information that we have heard in the past, have no proof of it. Would like to get information on them if it is out there, Thanks

Hester

Hi:
We've been through this before and you have helped me a lot and I respect your storehouse of Grafton lore. How long has the headstone been on Hester's (Easter's) grave? If it is contemporary with her death . . .. On the other hand, if it was placed there in recent years, a mistake is more likely. I also am impressed with the Hesters in later Grafton generations--no "Easters" that I know of. Tell me one more time the proof that you have that she was really "Easter". Thanks. Bill

P.S> I am still trying to find out where great great grand parents Thomas Grafton and his wife died. He was born in 1826 (son of Ambrose) and moved to Iowa in the 1850s and then on to somewhere in NE in 1872. His son (and my great grandfather Daniel) moved with him and settled in Dawson County--Thomas stopped before getting that far. Know anything about that?

Looking for anyone who might have a connection to this woman. Rowena had at least one brother; Eric Alexander Grafton (born 1898 Blackheath, Kent). Rowena's father, Walter Patrick Grafton's parents were Henry Grafton and Janet Melville. Rowena's mother, Anna Caroline Williams' parents were Owen Williams and Jane Chate. Not sure if Rowena ever married or when she died. Any help would be appreciated.

Grafton Family in Maryland and Ohio

Those researching descendants of William Grafton (born in the 1690s) might find information they are seeking in the 2005 edition of a book about early families in Maryland. The book has a chapter on the Grafton family which settled in Baltimore County, Maryland, with some moving to Ohio in the early 1800s. They are descendants of William Grafton, Sr. and Jr. and grandsons Samuel, Nathaniel, Aquila, William III, and Daniel; also descendants through daughters and granddaughters are included.
The book is about the St. Clair, Grafton, Preston, Smithson and Denbow families of Baltimore and Harford Counties, Maryland, in the 1700s and early 1800s. One feature of the book is that it shows marriage relationships among the families. Someone descended from one of these families may be descended from others of these families due to marriages back in the 1600s and early 1700s.
For information on availability of the book, contact me directly at streett44@aol.com
Will the real THOMAS GRAFTON please stand up?

I am going crazy trying to find my great, great grandfather, who was one of the many Thomas Graftons. I think his father was also a Thomas, but who can tell. My Thomas definitely married Mary Fries (Freese/Freeze, depending on which census) on April 6, 1852 in Ashland County, Ohio. The 1860 census shows Thomas and Mary with their children (including my one-year-old great grandfather) in Henry County, Illinois. The census says they were born in Pennsylvania. There are so many Thomas Graftons in Ohio that I am totally lost. If anyone can point me to a source, it would be greatly appreciated.

Graftons of Dundas, ONT and Toronto(?)

I have been to Dundas, Grove cemetery and seen the huge Grafton monuments. My relative is Dr. Charles S. Grafton, M.D. son of James and Charlotte Grafton, d. Mar. 7, 1893, ae 32.
He married Jean Douglass, d/o Robert and Eleanor Douglass, and I am trying to determine where Jean lived after Charles died. There is some thought she lived in Toronto. Evidently she never remarried because her name is also on the monument, Jean Douglas wf of Charles Stewart Grafton, b. Mar. 21, 1959, d. Apr. 24, 1939. They had two sons. Stewart died in infancy. Sydney died in 1961 and is also buried in Grove cemetery. If anyone has any information about Jean Douglass Grafton, I would appreciate their sharing it. Any information of Sydney's heirs would be appreciated too. Thanks.

Grafton - Haynes/Haines marriages ?

The middle name Grafton occurs repeatedly in mid-19th century Haynes family. I'm therefor guessing that there is probably a Grafton-Haynes marriage earlier in the century. (probably in Mass/N.E.)

If anybody has any suggestions, I'll be grateful.

Jason Haynes

HESTERS NAME

"IF" the Easter Condon who married "A" Thomas Grafton in 1788 is our Tommy, then she changed it to Hester which was not uncommon in those days. Her grandchildren were named "HESTER" also, so that would state she went by that name. Thomas Grafton was a common name in VA. as we have found out, possibly this may have been another woman, maybe? I doubt it too.
I have a recollection of a deed I have when he sold the land in VA. in 1816, and it may have Hesters name attached. I must locate that deed.

Settled in Ohio about 1807, Champaign Co. from Virginia. There were so many Thomas's in the family that I can't keep track of them. I go back to Thomas (old Tommy) born 1760 died Aug 12,1856. Have a lot of info but need to correlate to verify names. After civil war they settled in central Illinois with land grants around Janesville. Lets talk, been working on it for 20 years or more

(b. 1893, d. 8/21/66), Everett Jack (b. 1895, d. 10/31/44), Wm Brian (b. 1897, d. 8/26/66) and Kenneth (b. 1901, d. 11/7/48). They too are all buried at Riverside. I think there was also a girl, possibly named Gladys. Can anyone validate the existance of a girl, her name, dates, last known location, descendants? Thank you.
