My Great Aunt's name is Ann Gravette who married Morris W. "Pete" Royster. I am looking for any info on her and her family. I dont have any dates, but I know Pete died in 1962 at 33 years old.

Charles and Elizabeth Gravit and their children are on the 1850 Macon County, Tennessee Federal Census. I think there were three girls older than Henry, the oldest being Mary Jane born in Tennessee in 1833.

I believe Henry is my great grandfather who married Nancy Jane Scott in 1856 in Allen County, Kentucky. They are in the 1870 Pawnee County, Nebraska Federal Census. They also had Mary in 1871 and Frank in 1872 in Nebraska.

Do you have any more information on Charles and/or Elizabeth? Which counties they were born in, parents, marriage place and date, Elizabeth's maiden name, etc?

Hi Linda,

Thank you for your reply. I am a descendant of Gravette's who lived in Gibson & Hickman Counties, Tennessee. I suspect that they come from VA, since many census reports indicate that. There are Gravettes further south, but I don't have any information on where they might fit into the Gravette family tree, if the original groups came from VA or the colonies. If you have Gravette's from Gibson & Hickman Co's TN, please let me know & we can exchange info on our families there.

I am a descendant of the Gravette family. This group is way back in my family history.

My 5th set of Great Grandparents were Randall or Randolph Gravitt and Hester or ester Hammonds.

I am looking for anyone who knows about a daughter of Mary Ellen Gravette that was born approximately 21 March 1961. Mary Ellen was in a home for unwed mothers called Faith Home, she went to St Joseph's hospital. I believe that the daughter who was born was named Tamara Lynn Gravette. I do know that she was placed for adoption. I do not have the information on who adopted her or if they changed her birth name. I am looking for my dad, John Gravette-born July 1965 in Aberdeen, Washington. His father is Billy Gene Gravette, mother is Betty Lou Gravette, previous address port angeles, wa. He lived in Las Vegas, Nv. when I was born, and my mother has not heard from anyone in the family in over 5 years. Last known address was in vegas.

My greatgrandfather was Alford Oliver Gravette who settled in Marshall Co.(Albertville). I don't believe there are any left there now. I live in Georgia and teach high school in case your parents want to know who you are talking to. I know I would want to know if you were mine. I have three children and two stepchildren and one grandchild so I know how they feel. I also know how you feel if you are interested in your family tree. So let me know.

It would help more if there were some dates & if you could tell me where they lived. I have Saunders/Sanders back to NC and might be able to help on that side, and the Gravettes are still many different pieces...but once they start coming together, well know what families they are from.
