Clifford F. “Cliffie” Crays.
Clifford F. “Cliffie” Crays, age 82, of Erie, died Friday, October 23, 2009 at Hamot Medical Center. He was born in Renovo, Pa. on March 24, 1927 a son of the late James and Sylvia Saltsman Crays.
He graduated from Academy High School in 1945 where he wrestled at the State Level. He played College Basketball for Nyack College. He was a Meat Cutter for Several Local Grocery Stores, Enjoying his most Recent Time Spent with Quality Markets. He served his Country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and was very close to his AA friends, recovering for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Pelkowski Crays. Friends may call tonight, Thursday October 29, 2009 at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc. 2502 Sassafras St. Erie, Pa. 16502 from 7 p.m. until the time of the service at 8:30 p.m. with the Rev. John Detisch officiating. Looking for a possible twin brother of Charles Elmer Gray b.6-22-1880/1881 possibly in Clarksdale or St Joseph Missouri area. Their father committed suicide sometime around the turn of the century. Their mother was never spoken of. Not sure if she died, ran away or divorced. Any help would be immensely appreciated!

Hi, I have so far 1 grays in my tree, I have a Violet Copeland who died in Livonia Twp. Wayne County in the Cambridge Nursing home, her daughter is Mrs. Ernest Grays, not sure how many children Violey and Thomas Kindell but the only one I know of is Bowes Kindel, daughter so this could be Mrs. Ernest Grays.

Looking for my lost cousins, aunts and uncles. My father's name was Jimmy Grays, Sr. He is one of the nine children of Lillie Hull and Ben Grays, Sr. My grandparents (Lillie & Ben Grays) divorced, my grandfather came to California and my grandmother stayed down south. She passed away before we got to know her. I knew grandpa Ben, as we called him, when I was a child but was too young to know anything else about him. My father (Jimmy Sr.) raised all of us (13 children) with my mother (Cusie Grays) in Pittsburg, California. Both are deceased now. There are cousins that I know of in Modesto, CA. Do I belong to any of ya'll?

That's the thing my grandmother died in 94 and I don't know any of her relatives my mother is still living which is my grandmother daughter but she doesn't know any of our relatives and yes we are African Americans.
