I am looking for the family of Noel Conger GATES and Dorothy GREEN, originally of Ellington, Chautauqua County, New York. Noel and his family moved to Chickasaw County, Iowa (via Dodge County, Wisconsin) after remarrying after his wife’s death.

Noel Conger GATES, son of Ira GATES and Clarissa HEATH, was born 1804 in Malone, Franklin County, NY, and died 1857 in Utica Township, Chickasaw County, IA. He married (1) Dorothy GREEN / GREENE. She was born 1803 in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and died 1846 in Ellington, Chautauqua County, NY. Noel married (2) Sybil Ann THOMPSON in 1846 in Randolph, Cattaraugus County, NY. She was born 1818 in New York, and died 1891 in Chickasaw County, IA.

Noel Conger GATES and Dorothy GREEN had at least five children:

7) Osro GATES (b. 1849 WI)
8) Worthy GATES (b. 1851 WI) m. Harriet Wesley SCOTT (children Noel, Ellen, Emma, and Sybil)
