Classification: Query
Surnames: Greenlee, Stevens, Elliott, Winn
This is the information that I have on my Greenlee's:
Willis Greenlee b. Oct. 10, 1849 in MO.-d.Aug. 10, 1894 m.-
Mary Mills/Miles/Mindley?? b. Nov. 2, 1859?-d. Dec. 24, 1892. They lived in Honey Grove, Fannon Co., Texas.
He was the son of:
Willis L. Greenlee b. Nov. 21, 1818 and d. April 18, 1882
and Martha Greenlee from Tenn. (On the Texas Genweb site for Fannon Co. there is a photo of Willis L. Greenlees gravestone)
Children of Will and Mary:
Lucy Jane Greenlee b. July 7th, 1885 and d. Dec. 24, 1952 (this is my great grandmother.) she was married to:
Emory Sylvester Stevens in OK.
Jim Greenlee
George Greenlee
Henry Greenlee?
Virgle Greenlee
Lavern Greenlee
Clair Greenlee?
Since Mary and Willis died when the children were young, they were sent to live with an aunt or other close relative who I was told was actually a half sister to Will. Her name was Mary Creason. I have copies of photos that a cousin sent me with Lucy, Virgle, George, J.V. and Lavern Greenlee standing together with Lucy's husband.
If you think there might a connection to your Greenlee family, I would like to hear from you.
Thanks, Lois
