Greetings! I'm trying to go back further than William Greenwood of Liverpool, b. about 1780, possibly 1786, and the parents of his wife Ann James (b. Oct. or Nov. 1782) also of Liverpool. William and Ann were married at St. Anne, Liverpool, 14 Feb. 1806.--------
William died 14 Oct. 1839 and Ann died 4 Apr 1854, both in Liverpool. --------
William and Ann had a son, William Greenwood, b. 20 June 1812, who stowed away on a ship at the age of 9. Returning about a year later, he could not find his family. He was taken in by a ship's captain, with the surname of Russell, whose name he eventually added to his own name, becoming William Greenwood Russell.--------
Ann's parents were Francis James and Ann ___ James. Frances was born c. 1747 and Ann c. 1748. They were married in Liverpool c. 1774. Francis died 20 Nov. 1829 and Ann 13 Apr 1823. --------
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
