Several researching Richard Greer mistakingly have his middle name as Marion. Richard named his sons after Revolutionary soldiers. His son was named Richard Marion.
Richard had no middle name. Richard was not born in Pa. Look at the 1850 & 1860 census. I believe Richard was born in Washington District N. C. (Which became Washington County Tennessee)the son of John Grier. Possible Andrew as his Grandfather.
