William Nancy Clark-Graig/Gragg/Gregg
children are 1/4French and 1/4Native American heritage. There are indications their native american lineage is from the
fox clan of the Musquakie nation. We don't
know if the Graig/Gragg/Gregg is of scottish
descent or other. The surname spelling is
often found spelled other than Gregg.
Research of the "Quaker Greggs" has not been
fruitful in finding a connecting ancestor.
On event in the 1960's seem to connect the
family to President Lincoln. The shawl Mary
Todd Lincoln wore to Fords theater, the night
President Lincoln was shot, was passed around
to descendant families, for a time. My aunt
clearly remembers viewing this shawl, the blood stains still being viewable. The shawl
was sent to to my grandmother, the great-grand
daugter of William Gregg. The Greggs are related to the Lincolns, thru the wife of Todd
Lincoln, son of President Abraham Lincoln and
Merad Grag/Gray age 86 (1774)b. Pennsylvannia, is living with William Nancy Clark-Graig/Gragg/Gregg in 1860
Bedford twsp.Meigs county, Ohio. Is this the
mother of William Graig/Gragg/Gregg?
Hopefully some descendant out there has the
tidbit of information that will draw this
families history together for present and
