Jules E. Gregoire, 81, of 161 Winthrop Street, Woonsocket, died this morning, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Augustine (Martinetty) Gregoire.
Born November 16, 1891 in Dauxville, France, he was the son of Victor and Cesary (L'Agneau) Gregoire. He was a resident of the Woonsocket area for the past 50 years. He was a retired loom fixer in textile mills until his retirement in 1957.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons from his first marriage, Joseph Gregoire of West Warwick, Edward Gregoire of Coventry and Victor Gregoire of Woonsocket; a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Bernstone of Coventry; two sisters, Mrs. Camie Melancon of St. Guillaume, Province of Quebec and Mrs. Alice Brown of West Warwick; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
His daughter, Marie LaJoie, died in 1967.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 8 from the Prata Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Church at 9 o'clock.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Crompton
